Advancement Services Manager, Illinois College

Summary:
The Advancement Services Manager is responsible for managing the Alumni/Development database including accurate and timely processing of all gifts and pledges to the College, as well as accurate and timely updating of biographical information of the database. This position is also responsible for developing, producing and auditing all fundraising reports and statistical requests associated with the database. This Director is a self-motivated, team player, willing to work closely with other members of the Office of Advancement staff.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage Advancement Associates responsible for gift entry and data entry
  • Develop, manage and update all systems related to gift and pledge processing
  • Develop and maintain relationship with business office for creating new accounts and interpreting gift acceptance policy
  • Monitor computer system upgrades for the Jenzabar development module as well as Microsoft Office programs; provide training/instruction to advancement office staff
  • Serve as the primary gift report writer for alumni and development office needs
    • Monthly and annual gift reports
    • Literary Society gift reports and mailing lists
    • Fundraising activity reports for volunteers
    • Stewardship, donor relations and event tracking
  • Responsible for CFAE and other statistical surveys
  • Represent the College as necessary at College functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Development and/or Vice President for Advancement

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree preferred
  • 3-5 years experience with Jenzabar or similar development data system
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills including mail merge and Excel
  • Knowledge of gift reporting requirements and compliance
  • Interpersonal communication skills, collaborative, strong work ethic and attention to detail
